What is involved

1. Roof Assessment

We inspect the roof to check its overall condition, identify areas of moss, mould and lichen growth, and make sure the roof is suitable for treatment.

2. Safe Access Set-Up

The appropriate access and fall-protection system is put in place. Depending on the roof, this may include ladders, rope and harness, edge protection or other safety equipment.

3. Protect Surrounding Areas

We take care around gardens, painted surfaces, gutters, downpipes and other areas that could be affected by the treatment.

4. Apply Moss, Mould & Lichen Treatment

A professional roof treatment is applied evenly across the affected roof areas. The treatment works gradually to kill moss, mould and lichen at the source.

5. Natural Weathering Process

The roof is generally not water blasted as part of a standard moss treatment. Once treated, the dead growth breaks down naturally and is washed away over time by wind and rain.

6. Final Check & Clean-Up

We check that the required areas have been treated, remove our equipment and leave the property tidy.

What to expect afterwards

You may not see an immediate visual change. Moss and lichen can take several weeks or months to fully die off and weather away, depending on the level of growth, roof type and weather conditions. The treatment continues working after we leave.
