When a roof is past saving, replaced properly by experienced roofers - with a LBP certified roofer on the team.

Some roofs cannot be restored. Decramastic that has lost its stone chip, concrete tiles cracking through, long run that has rusted at the laps. When that is the situation we will say so, and we will show you why on the roof before you commit to anything.

A replacement covers removal and disposal of the old roof, any asbestos handled under certification, new underlay, new long run or tile in the profile and colour you choose, and full flashing and spouting connections. The work is guaranteed and the material carries its manufacturer warranty.

Signs you need it

  • Leaks in more than one place
  • Decramastic losing its stone chip
  • Rust through the sheet, not just the surface
  • Cracked or slipping tiles across the roof
  • A roof over 40 years old
  • Asbestos roofing

What is involved

1. Final Measure & Material Order

Once you give us the go-ahead, we return to complete a final roof measure and confirm the details of your new roof. We then place the order for your Colorsteel roofing, flashings and required materials.

2. Site Setup & Edge Protection

Before work begins, any required scaffolding or edge protection is installed to create a safe working environment and provide access to the roof.

3. Remove Existing Roofing

The existing roofing, flashings and underlay are carefully removed and disposed of. Once exposed, we can inspect the roof structure for any unexpected timber or substrate issues.

4. Roof Preparation

The roof is prepared for the new roofing system, including installing new roof underlay and mesh where required. Any necessary timber repairs identified during removal will be discussed before additional work is carried out.

5. Install New Roofing

Your new long-run Colorsteel roofing is fitted and securely fixed in accordance with the roofing manufacturer’s installation requirements.

6. Flashings & Roof Penetrations

New ridge, barge, apron and other required flashings are installed. Roof penetrations such as pipes and vents are weatherproofed using appropriate flashings and seals.

7. Finishing & Weatherproofing

The roof is fully screwed off, flashings and junctions are checked, and all areas are finished to ensure the new roofing system is secure and weatherproof.

8. Clean-Up & Final Inspection

All roofing waste is removed and the work area is cleaned. We then carry out a final inspection of the roof, flashings and workmanship before completing the project

Price guidance

Most Auckland re-roofing jobs sit between $18,000 and $30,000, depending on roof size, the existing material and whether scaffolding or asbestos removal is needed. We give you a fixed price after the assessment, and that is the price you pay.
